These startups were funded by IFB in June 2024
IFB Innovationsstarter GmbH announced the funding of two more startups from Hamburg in June 2024. Mind Nexus has secured a place in the InnoFounder programme and DyssolTEC is now part of the InnoRampUp portfolio.
Mind Nexus
Without the use of artificial intelligence (AI), most companies will no longer be competitive in the foreseeable future. This is the argument used by the startup Mind Nexus to promote its offering. Mind Nexus develops AI applications as white label solutions and promises particularly favourable prices that are significantly lower than the actual development costs. This is made possible by two factors. Firstly, the startup sells its software-as-a-service in a subscription model, which also simplifies updates. Secondly, it uses existing AI components rather than programming the entire application from scratch. The team consists of experienced founders with expertise in the fields of marketing and software development.
DyssolTEC
The history of DyssolTEC can be traced back to 2013. At the time, a research project at Hamburg University of Technology was looking into how production processes with solids could be optimised. Simulating such processes using software is a major challenge, as solids have a much more complex structure than liquids and gases. The startup DyssolTEC, which emerged from the project, has found a solution that is also suitable for commercial use. It creates a digital twin of the production plant that can be used to simulate a variety of process variants. The founding team, whose members all come from the TU Hamburg, has already gained BASF and Evonik as partners.
