Until April 5, game developers, startups and small and medium-sized enterprises in Hamburg can apply for Gamecity Hamburg's prototype funding. The City of Hamburg's funding program provides overall 400,000 euros for game developments in 2023.

From November 2022, the logistics startup Modility will receive funding from the Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport (BMDV) as part of the federal program "Zukunft Schiengüterverkehr” (Future of Rail Freight Transport).

Gamecity Hamburg is supporting six games projects with a total of 410,000 euros in 2023 as part of its prototype funding. The aim is to develop digital games with high market potential. Among the funded startups are three which have previously passed through the Games Lift incubator.
