From September 14 to 18, the Open Mouth Festival will celebrate its premiere in Hamburg. Its goal is to present Hamburg's food scene in all its diversity and to make the city even more attractive for guests. Many of the events taking place within this framework also offer startups a stage. Here is an overview of the most important dates.
Full program with StartAperitivo and at foodlab
The Hamburg Investors Network has already hit the bull's eye with the nationwide Female StartAperitivo startup competition. With the Impact StartAperitivo "Food Edition", it is again calling for pitches together with Food Harbour Hamburg on September 14. There will be sustainable fish dishes, plant-based alternatives to animal products, plastic-free packaging, supply chain software and much more to see and taste.
The foodlab in HafenCity has already proven itself many times over as an accelerator, coworking space and event location for food startups. Consequently, it is also offering a varied program as part of the Open Mouth Festival from September 14 to 17, which you can get an overview of here. Particularly noteworthy is the Expert Talk on September 15 with the topic "Can startups save the world?" Starting at 4 p.m., the focus will be on sustainability and the question of what impact products from the startup scene have compared to those of the big players.
A festival within the festival
For the second time, the Green Food Festival will take place in Hamburg on September 16 and 17, this year under the umbrella of the Open Mouth Festival. In panel talks, producers and players from agriculture, gastronomy, politics, science and NGOs will discuss the sustainable future of our food. In addition, there will be workshops, readings, tastings, live music, herb walks for children at the Oberhafenquartier.
