dpv-analytics wins Gunnar-Uldall-Wirtschaftspreis
dpv-analytics GmbH has achieved 1st place, worth 10,000 euros, in the Gunnar-Uldall-Wirtschaftspreis (business award) 2022. The startup, which emerged from the Cardiologicum Hamburg in 2018, has developed a solution to simplify heart attack and stroke prophylaxis. The award was presented on August 26 at Hapag-Lloyd AG's Ballinhaus in Hamburg.
ritmo is the name of the innovation by Hamburg-based founders Ekkehard Schmidt, Philip Nölling, Stephan Kranz and Matthias Glawe. It is a full-fledged, wireless 3-channel ECG in mini format. Data evaluation is performed by artificial intelligence (AI) as well as physician validation. For the jury, the high medical benefit, the user-friendliness and the realistic development goals were decisive for the 1st place of the ritmo inventors.
In a strong field of applicants, two other Hamburg-based startups prevailed as award winners: Nect GmbH managed to jump to 2nd place with its fully automated and AI-based online identification, which was rewarded with 3,000 euros in prize money. 3rd place and 2,000 euros went to HC Sustainable Logistics GmbH. With its brand recyclehero, it offers a climate-friendly and social pick-up service with electric cargo bikes for waste-paper, -glass and -clothing as well as deposits.
The Gunnar-Uldall-Wirtschaftspreis has been awarded annually since 2019; in 2021, Plancraft (1st place), WETTERHELD (2nd place) and foodlab Hamburg (3rd place) were honored. In addition to entrepreneurial action in the spirit of the social market economy, the evaluation criteria of the Board of Trustees, which for many years had close personal, professional or political ties with former Hamburg Senator for Economic Affairs Gunnar Uldall, include a sustainable business idea, a strong personality with courage, vision and decision-making power, as well as social competence. The business award is supported exclusively by private donations and voluntary commitment.
