Application phase for the Games Lift Incubator 2024 has started
Teams and solo developers have time until 10 June to apply for the fifth edition of Gamecity Hamburg's Games Lift funding programme. Five projects from the world of video games will each receive 15,000 euros and extensive workshops, among other things.
What the Games Lift Incubator offers
Since 2020, Gamecity Hamburg has supported a total of 20 teams in the Games Lift Incubator in the development of digital games. Developers and startups with up to five people from Hamburg and the surrounding area are eligible to participate. As with the prototype funding, Gamecity Hamburg is also introducing a diversity checklist as part of the application process for Games Lift. This helps applicants to analyse their own structures and processes in the development of games projects.
The funding programme includes the following benefits:
15,000 euros in financial support
An additional coaching budget of 1,000 euros
A comprehensive workshop programme tailored to the needs of indie developers
Individual mentoring from five experienced industry professionals
Facilities for exchange and collaboration
Joint trip to an international industry event
Access to the Games Lift network with around 30 industry experts
Playtesting sessions and other internal and public events
An award committee made up of experts from the local games industry and representatives of Gamecity Hamburg will decide which applicants will be accepted into the Games Lift Incubator 2024.
