Pitch Deck

A pitch deck is a short summary of a startup’s business idea. A pitch deck should consist of approximately 10 to 15 slides and summarise all the key business aspects. It should be visually appealing and easy to understand to win over investors.

Pitch Event

During a  pitch event, startups present their business ideas to potential investors: partners and customers to secure financing or strategic relationships.

Pivoting

When it comes to pivoting, a company's business strategy is radically changed to better respond to the needs of the market and the customer. The change may differ from company to company. However, all pivot strategies aim to respond flexibly and adapt to the situation.

Pre-Seed

Pre-seed funding is the earliest phase of funding for a startup and usually occurs in in the conceptual phase before the company has developed a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or generated sales.

Private Equity

Private equity refers to investments in companies outside the stock market. This can increase the value of a company and e.g., benefit from a later IPO. The investment from Venture Capital also falls under the definition of private equity.

Proof of Concept (PoC)

A Proof of Concept (PoC) is a milestone in project development that demonstrates the feasibility of a project. This method tests the feasibility of an idea or concept before investing in full development.

Prototype

A prototype is a first preliminary version of a product. Different functional concepts and designs can be tested before a final product is developed and produced. Prototypes can range from simple sketches to detailed models.
