These startups were funded by IFB in November 2023
IFB Innovationsstarter GmbH supported two more Hamburg startups in November. The online dermatologist doctorderma was awarded a place in the InnoRampUp programme, while Acadias received support from InnFinTech.
doctorderma
The health startup doctorderma can be certified to be on a roll in 2023. It was included in the AI.STARTUP.HUB funding programme and took third place at the Gunnar-Uldall-Wirtschaftspreis a few days ago. Now IFB Innovationsstarter GmbH has also recognised the potential of doctorderma. This lies in making a visit to the dermatologist superfluous in most cases and avoiding long waiting times for an appointment. Patients usually receive a diagnosis and, if necessary, a treatment recommendation within 24 hours after uploading a few pictures and answering a few questions. The diagnosis is made by real doctors, who will soon be supported by artificial intelligence. doctorderma was founded in 2022 by Marc Hoffmann, Dr Christian Drerup, Florian Beck-Klaus and Lisanne Hake.
Acadias
Louis Thissen and Till Kramer, the founders of Acadias, both studied industrial engineering, specialising in financial management. This benefits them in their startup, which deals with the problem of money laundering. The Money Laundering Act obliges certain groups of people and companies to exercise special care and supervision. Banks and insurance companies, as well as estate agents, casinos and goods traders, are required to check their business partners. This often involves a considerable amount of research, which Acadias undertakes for its customers. The startup utilises a range of official and reputable sources and provides the results in a compact form. However, Acadias does not yet provide an assessment or risk analysis.
