In December 2025, IFB Innovationsstarter GmbH accepted five more startups into its support programmes. In this article, we briefly introduce GastroRocket, lu:bici, Aortex, 3D-bautec and mutiva.
GastroRocket
For many, owning a restaurant is a dream, but one that can quickly turn into a nightmare, as there is hardly any other industry with such a high insolvency rate as the catering trade. The startup GastroRocket, new to the InnoFounder programme, wants to spare aspiring restaurateurs this experience and supports them in setting up their business. It does this via an app that answers all the important questions on topics such as legal requirements, financing, equipment procurement, menu design and marketing. The service is free to use, and GastroRocket earns money through commissions from companies that offer their services via the app.
lu:bici
The first of three new startups in the InnoRampUp programme is lu:bici. It combines two areas that at first glance appear to have little in common: cycling and nanotechnology. lu:bici has developed a lubricant that simultaneously degreases bicycle chains and coats them with a wax that minimises wear in a single step. This eliminates the need for prior cleaning with solvents, which not only saves time but is also more environmentally friendly. Dr Artur Feld provides expertise in nanochemistry, while Britta Kloust, who brings experience in product management, completes the founding duo.
Aortex
Aortex is one of Hamburg's rising startups of 2025, with its greatest success being winner in the Gründergeist competition. The young company owes its success to the prospect of saving the lives of many people suffering from aneurysms, the pathological enlargement of arteries. The stent graft required for treatment often does not fit the individual needs of patients in terms of shape and size. Aortex's patented technology, which is considered to have great potential on the international medical market, now makes it possible to quickly manufacture such customised medical devices.
3D-bautec.
Houses from 3D printers are not a new idea, but its implementation is still in its infancy. This is where the startup 3D-bautec. sees an opportunity to take a leading role with its integrated system of 3D printing technologies for construction. Sustainability plays an important role here. The company offers a range of material options that meet this criterion: natural clay, cement-free concrete alternatives and low-emission concrete. In conjunction with a production process that minimises emissions and avoids waste, 3D-bautec. aims to make the industry more environmentally and climate-friendly.
mutiva
‘Anger turns into courage’ is the motto of mutiva, a startup that has gone through the NextGeneration Incubator organised by Körber Start-Hub and is now receiving funding from the InnoImpact programme. mutiva supports women who have experienced psychological violence. The aim is to create a safe space where they can process their experiences, build inner stability and find guidance for their next steps. The online programme RE:START is designed for this purpose, and workshops and individual coaching sessions complement the offering.
