The seventh batch of the AI.STARTUP.HUB consisted of a total of 21 startups working in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). At the Graduation Day in the ASTOR cinema in HafenCity, 13 of them presented themselves. The winner of the evening was Coldsense.

5 teams from the Ideation programme

The AI.STARTUP.HUB runs two funding programmes in parallel. The “Ideation” program is for startups that begin with little more than an idea and develop a valid business model within six months. These projects made their appearance at Graduation Day:

  • Advanced Biosimulation Technologies creates digital brain twins for the treatment of strokes.

  • Glowseeker offers advice on finding the most suitable skincare products.

  • Lunar is developing an aid for people with visual impairments.

  • Qodia facilitates the creation of invoices in the medical sector.

  • QuickGuide supports doctors with their treatments via an app. This startup received the most votes in the public vote on the Ideation teams.

8 startups from the AI Accelerator

The AI Accelerator programme is designed for startups that have already been founded and now want to grow. This category includes AIDAR which helps record labels track down new music trends and artists. Process.Science analyses and optimises workflows in medicine, but also in other industries. Camsens supports microscopy in veterinary medicine with AI. thesy helps companies find the best talent. The original business model consisted of evaluating scientific papers.

VisioPlan turns floor plans of buildings into virtually accessible 3D models. miljn provides a child-friendly exploration of the AI world. The startup Groon is building a digital platform that bundles various administrative tasks. There was also an audience vote for the Accelerator teams, with Coldsense receiving the most votes. This Hamburg-based startup won the vote with a technology that controls the defrosting of cold stores. These have similar problems with icing as refrigerators. Coldsense received 100,000 credits from sponsor Google as the main prize.
