3D Spark raises 2 million euros in seed financing round
Hamburg-based startup 3D Spark has received 2 million euros in its latest seed financing round. The investment was led by Swedish investor Triplefair and supported by existing investors Fraunhofer Technologie-Transfer Fonds (FTTF) and Innovationsstarter Fonds Hamburg (IFH).

Platform for manufacturing decisions to be further expanded
3D Spark's AI-powered platform simplifies complex manufacturing decisions by providing manufacturability analysis, accurate cost analysis, smart quoting and CO2 footprint reporting. Covering various materials (metals, polymers, ceramics) and supporting over 15 manufacturing technologies - including additive and conventional processes - the platform positions itself as a versatile tool for manufacturing companies. Customers include Alstom, Deutsche Bahn, ÖBB and Siemens Mobility. In 2023, the startup was already able to raise 1.2 million euros in a seed round.
The new funding is intended to accelerate 3D Spark's growth on several levels. On the product side, the startup will expand its technology coverage to include broader conventional manufacturing methods such as casting, milling and sheet metal fabrication. Improvements to the marketplace function should close the gap between companies and their qualified suppliers. In addition, the funding will allow for significant growth of the team, expanding technical expertise and improving sales and customer success capabilities to support increasing market demand and the addition of new customers.
