Giving female startup founders the attention they deserve and connecting them with investors - that is the goal of the Female StartAperitivo competition. Eight female founders from four northern German states will compete in the final on September 15. But on August 31, the qualification round for Hamburg is on the agenda first. 12 women-led startups are competing, and we briefly introduce them here.

Brygge, Clean Ocean Coatings and ethic Deals

Online banking is only for young people? Brygge doesn't see it that way and is developing an offering that is also attractive to older, not so Internet-savvy people. Three female founders are behind the project: Cornelia Schwertner, Barbara Buchalik and Bianca Steinke.

Clean Ocean Coatings has set out to revolutionize the shipping industry with an environmentally friendly hull coating. The plan is being driven forward by the founders Dr. Christina Linke and Patricia Griem.

Sustainable shopping and saving real money in the process - ethic Deals makes it possible. The marketplace is presented by co-founder Vera von Elverfeldt at Female StartAperitivo.

Fabel, HYLI and 5pectre Optix

Startup fabel is providing an app as a digital everyday manager that relieves caregiving relatives an has been founded by Maximiliane Tetzlaff and Alicia Faridi.

No one likes to deal with illness and death, but it's important to make provisions for emergencies in good time. Founder Helen Hagge's startup HYLI can help here.

5pectre Optix builds the world's smallest broadband spectrometer for industry and science. Founder Ekaterina Zapolnova brings the technical know-how to the table.

Myndpaar, OYESS and saferspaces

myndpaar is an app for relationship counseling a daughter-father company. At Female StartAperitivo, Leonie Wilken will present the startup, which has already received six-figure funding.

OYESS offers sustainable lip care. The founding trio includes Anna Breidt and Nadja King, two women who bring decades of experience from large companies.

Still and again, women experience assaultive behavior. saferspaces makes it easy for them to report it. Leah-Maria Sophie Rott is co-founder of the startup.

System Akvile, Tracifier and Vulvani

Acne is a problem that affects more than just teenagers. Dr. Akvile Ignotaite of System Akvile uses an app to give tips on how to solve the problem through diet and with skin care, among other things.

More transparency for the value and supply chain of products is becoming increasingly important. Via blockchain, founder Mina Kordi's startup Tracifier makes that possible.

Getting menstruation out of the taboo corner - that is the mission of Britta Wiebe and her startup Vulvani. One of the ways she ensures this is with a steadily growing range of online courses.

Of these 12 candidates, only two will qualify for the grand finale, so excitement is guaranteed. Tickets for the finale on September 15 at Knust Hamburg are available here.
