Seven startups with promising business ideas

A total of ten startups took part in the pitch organised by the Hamburg Investors Network. The venue was the Kent Club, which is located in the Neue Flora musical theatre complex, for the first time. As a prerequisite for participation, at least one woman must play a dominant role in the company's founding team. Health topics were particularly well represented among the business models. Panadea Diagnostics develops tests for infectious diseases, the weeks offers mothers support in the phase after giving birth, VitaSeQ recognises Alzheimer's long before the actual onset of the disease and bettersoon takes care of the health of pets with a platform.

The software from PLOVITI, which offers a kind of navigation system for complex buildings such as warehouses or airports, can at least ease your nerves. P-ick promises an app that brings applicants for jobs and apprenticeships together with companies more effectively. And SceneContext tells advertisers in real time how and where their commercials are being shown on streaming services.

Muvn and Zilentix made it into the top 3

These seven startups have achieved at least one thing: Visibility, which ideally leads to investors taking notice of them. This is also the primary goal of Female StartAperitivo. The top three was selected by a jury of experts that voted Muvn, a platform that arranges carpooling for things, into third place. Founder Katharina Kreutzer also won the public vote. Second place went to Zilentix, represented by Dr Birgit Schreiber and Alexandra Mosch. This startup is developing a treatment for a particularly malignant brain tumour using pseudo-viruses as a biological scalpel.

AI took tebbl to the final

The winner of the evening was Sandra Heuer, who will compete in the final on 27 June in Berlin with her startup tebbl for Hamburg. tebbl impressed the jury with its software, which uses artificial intelligence to evaluate qualitative data. It saves hours of sifting through tables and other data sets. The solution can be used across all industries and understands 80 languages. Accordingly, the startup has already acquired international test customers.
