Hydrogen startups wanted for H2-AGE AWARD
The 4th H2 National Summit will take place in Hamburg on May 8. High-profile representatives from business, politics and science will come together to discuss the future of the hydrogen economy. One of the highlights of the programme will be the presentation of the H2-AGE AWARD, for which startups can apply until March 28.
The prize is 5,000 euros
The competition aims to recognise innovative products, processes and business models that can contribute to the production, storage and distribution of green or blue hydrogen or that develop a new usage concept for hydrogen. Solutions for the mobility sector, industry, municipalities or buildings are in demand, regardless of whether the hydrogen is converted into electricity, further converted or burned. The prize of the National Hydrogen Economic Forum is endowed with 5,000 euros. The winning team will also receive a trophy donated by the H2 National Summit and can use the title “Best European Hydrogen Start-up 2025”. The winning team will also have the opportunity to present their company and business idea to the participants in a 20-minute presentation at the event on May 8 and to attend the conference dinner in the evening.
All companies that have already been founded, but not before January 1, 2020, are eligible to participate if they are based in a European country other than Russia and Belarus and have an annual turnover of less than 25 million euros. The following documents are required for the application:

The documents must be sent by 2025/3/28, 24:00 to the following e-mail address: startup@wirtschaftsforum-h2.de. A jury will select several applications for a second round on the basis of the criteria “degree of innovation”, “scalability/market potential”, “USP”, “feasibility/realisability” and “company quality/founder profile”. For the second application round, the companies are invited individually to an online interview and the final decision will be made by April 30.
