Hamburg-based startup Fashion Cloud, which specialises in the digitalisation of fashion retail, is continuing to expand. It has just acquired the digital showroom from Stitch, which belongs to the American fashion group PVH.
Fashion Cloud is integrating the showroom into its existing, comprehensive offering for fashion brands and retailers. The deal also includes the acquisition of the Stitch team. Founder Anne-Christine Polet is leading the transition process. The company was part of the US group PVH, which owns well-known brands such as Tommy Hilfinger and Calvin Klein. The showroom enables the sales department to guide buyers digitally through the collections and the ordering process – with greater flexibility and creativity than printed catalogues, for example. This solution also saves time and the use of product samples.
The Hamburg-based start-up Fashion Cloud was founded in 2015 and is an all-round solution for content and data exchange as well as digital pre-orders and repeat orders in the clothing retail sector. Over 25,000 retailers and 700 brands currently use the Fashion Cloud platform. The company emphasises transparency and sustainability by enabling brands to share their sustainability attributes via its platform. Fashion Cloud's customer portfolio includes international retailers and brands such as Breuninger, Zalando, Magasin du Nord, Hugo Boss, Bestseller and PVH.
