BLUU Seafood and fobizz nominated for the German Founder Award 2024
The finalists for the German Founder Award 2024 have been announced. Three outstanding companies have been nominated in each of the StartUp and Aufsteiger (Rising Star) categories by the jury, which is made up of representatives from the partners stern, Sparkassen, ZDF and Porsche as well as the award's sponsors. From Hamburg, BLUU Seeafood and fobizz are in. The award is being presented for the 22nd time this year. The candidates will find out who wins the coveted trophy at the award ceremony on 24 September 2024 at the ZDF Capital Studio in Berlin.
StartUp category with BLUU Seafood
The German Founder Award is bestowed in a total of five categories, including a special prize, for lifetime achievement and for students. The three candidates in the StartUp category for companies no more than three years old are Numbat with an innovative charging system for e-cars. WeSortAI with an AI-supported sorting process for waste separation. And BLUU Seafood, based in Hamburg and Berlin. The startup has created a sustainable alternative to industrial fishing. Fish cells from Atlantic salmon and rainbow trout are used to produce fish products that can compete in both flavour and nutritional value; an animal-ethical alternative for consumers without overburdening natural resources.
Aufsteiger category with fobizz
The Rising Star category is dedicated to startups that are less than nine years old and have already achieved extraordinary growth. The nominees are: Dermanostic, a digital dermatology surgery. E-Lyte Innovations for the development of electrolytes used for energy storage. And fobizz from Hamburg. With over 400,000 users, it is the leading German-language platform for further education and training for teachers. Current hot topic: artificial intelligence in the classroom, both as training for teachers and for integration into lessons.
