CLOUDSUPPLIES and fobizz win at AI.SUMMIT
The topic of artificial intelligence (AI) with all its facets was on the agenda at the AI.SUMMIT on June 29. One of the highlights was the pitch competition. CLOUDSUPPLIES won the jury's prize, while fobizz received the most votes from the audience.
Three startups, three ways to use Artificial Intelligence
Five startups competed for the final pitch, four of which were from Hamburg. First to take the stage was Dennis Hilger, one of the founders of Dealcode. His startup offers software that helps sales teams achieve better sales results with the help of comprehensive data analysis. Around 250 customers already rely on Dealcode.
Searching through 220,000 million texts within five seconds - that's what KLEOS' AI can do. The Braunschweig-based startup, presented by co-founder Lennart Weiß, uses this to search for patents, among other things, and thus helps companies with patent applications.
As the name makes clear, CO2OPT has set itself the task of reducing CO2 emissions. The startup's target group is logistics companies, which can noticeably reduce fuel consumption by choosing the right tires for their trucks. The AI analyzes criteria such as the load on the vehicle's axles or the surface being driven on and makes suitable recommendations, as Co-Founder Siddhant Tibrewal explained.
fobizz won the audience award, CLOUDSUPPLIES that of the jury
Artificial intelligence is also playing a greater role in schools. Some see it as a threat because children no longer do their homework themselves. Yet AI, used correctly, can also be a helpful tool. This is precisely what the startup fobizz, for which Marie-Lene Armingeon pitched, teaches. fobizz offers online courses and has already reached over 250,000 teachers. It won the audience award in the live vote.
The jury, in which Startup City Hamburg also participated, chose CLOUDSUPPLIES. This startup offers a solution to the shortage of skilled workers, which could take on dramatic proportions in the IT industry in particular. An artificial intelligence steps in and takes over boring routine tasks that make up a significant portion of daily work. The need is great; pitcher Olaf Schaefers and his co-founder Thomas Müller had inquiries from several interested parties at AI.SUMMIT already.
