Tenzir, a startup specializing in cybersecurity, recently closed its seed funding round totaling 3 million euros. The money will go toward research and development and expanding customer services, as well as accelerating market expansion. In August, Tenzir will launch its flagship enterprise security data pipeline platform, which includes a free community edition.
Investors bet on promising security software
The seed funding round originated back in December 2021, when the startup received 2.5 million from deep tech investor eCAPITAL. G+D Ventures is also involved in the current round completion. eCAPITAL is based in Germany and invests in the areas of sustainability, enterprise software, cybersecurity, IoT and new materials with its own funds with a total volume of over 340 million euros. G+D Ventures is also a German company that has established a €50 million co-investment vehicle with the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Giesecke+Devrient Group (G+D).
The purpose of the investment is to give Tenzir a leading role in the security data pipeline market. Simply put, data pipelines are used to combine and analyze data from various sources. In this specific case, the startup has developed a solution that enables security teams to efficiently manage data and automate incident response processes. Through Github, Tenzir offers an open-source edition that is widely accessible and usable.
