Over 300,000 teachers already use fobizz

Founded in 2018, fobizz has established itself as the leading german-language platform for professional development and provider of tools and artificial intelligence (AI) for teachers and schools. The mission of fobizz is to advance the digitalisation of tuitition and to enable teachers to impart innovative teaching methods and knowledge in the field of AI, media and IT in a practical way. The company already supports over 5,000 schools and more than 300,000 teachers in German-speaking countries. The core product is the DSGVO-compliant AI assistance, which is helpful in lesson preparation, work organisation and corrections.

The winners were selected in a multi-stage process by an experienced jury with representatives from KfW, funding institutions, business, politics and the media. The jury assessed the business ideas according to their degree of innovation, their creativity and their assumption of social or ecological responsibility. One winner was chosen for each federal state and each received 1,000 euros. In the case of fobizz, the startup's extraordinary performance in the area of education and digital transformation was the deciding factor for the overall victory.

“We are very pleased about the national victory in the KfW Award Gründen and take this as confirmation, that we are on the right track with our vision of making digital skills and innovative teaching methods accessible to all teachers. It is about teaching future skills that prepare students for life in the digital world in the best possible way. With our further training and AI tools for teachers, we are contributing to making the educational landscape fit for the future and thus changing it in a lasting way.”
