Up to 100% reimbursement of costs for further training
Since 2019, Germany has had the Qualification Opportunities Act (QCG), which promotes further vocational training. A key point here is the pro rata assumption of costs by the employment agency, which depends on the size of the company. For companies with fewer than 50 employees, 100% of the course costs are covered and there is also a 75% wage subsidy. As most startups are likely to fall into this category, the offer is particularly attractive for them.
OMR, which is best known for its festival that attracts tens of thousands to Hamburg every year, has put together a comprehensive further education programme that is eligible for funding under the QCG. The e-learning courses focus on online marketing. At least two modules should be booked in order to benefit from the funding. Participants who complete the course automatically receive a free ticket, which is currently worth 549 euros. The offer is valid for the whole year and therefore also for upcoming festivals. OMR would like to support further training in startups in the long term.
Also attractive for startups is the Young Innovators Programme, an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK), which promotes the participation of young innovative companies at selected leading trade fairs in Germany.
