3 startups that are located at SPACE
SPACE, located in Hamburg's historic Speicherstadt warehouse district, is one of the hotspots of the city's startup scene. nextMedia.Hamburg, the municipal economic development agency for media and digital companies, runs its programmes there, and the location is the venue for numerous events. A number of startups have also found a place to work there. With RETELL Podcast Hub, NURIO and DENKER, we present three of them here.
RETELL Podcast Hub
There are a large number of podcasts worldwide. However, listeners are mostly limited to content in their native language and thus miss out on many interesting stories. By granting licences for internationally relevant podcast content, RETELL Podcast Hub is creating a global podcast platform. Thanks to scripts translated using artificial intelligence, hosts worldwide can access contributions and retrieve stories in the language of their choice. The startup has already received funding from the programmes Media Lift run by nextMedia.Hamburg and InnoFounder from IFB Innovationsstarter GmbH.
NURIO
Anyone who wants to stay fully informed via reputable media outlets on the internet has to take out a number of paid subscriptions. Or convince their employer to become a NURIO customer. NURIO offers a platform that provides access to the most important news media, with the costs being covered in part or in full by companies as an additional bonus for their employees. This allows employers to increase their attractiveness and receive savings in terms of income tax and social security contributions.
DENKER
Many texts, from blog posts to longer articles, are now created with the help of artificial intelligence. This is the business area where the startup DENKER operates, which participated in the AI.STARTUP.HUB ideation support programme in 2024. DENKER is developing an AI-supported knowledge assistant that helps researchers, journalists and consultants turn their ideas into finished files more quickly. To do this, it searches across trusted sources and delivers results including documents, diagrams and tables.
