A new chapter begins for Startup City Hamburg!
Change is coming - and we’re excited about what’s next!
On January 1, 2026, Startup City Hamburg and the Startup Unit Hamburg will transfer from Hamburg Invest to the Hamburgische Investitions- und Förderbank (IFB Hamburg) and its subsidiary, IFB Innovationsstarter GmbH.
This step marks more than an organizational shift – it’s an opportunity to grow together. Under the roof of IFB Hamburg, we’ll continue our mission to connect, empower, and support founders across Hamburg. The existing offerings will be continued and more closely interlocked. By combining non-monetary startup support with the financial instruments of the IFB, we aim to open up even more paths for innovation and growth.
