Beagle Systems can operate worldwide and in many industries

The round is led by the venture capital companies PT1 and AENU. Existing investors from the first financing round, which brought in 1.4 million euros in 2022, are also involved. The fresh money will be used to expand the team, among other things; 14 positions are currently vacant. According to its own statement, Beagle Systems makes any place in the world accessible at the touch of a button. To this end, the startup has built up a complete ecosystem for drone-based services that are easy to book and cost-effective. The areas of application range from agriculture and power line inspections to assistance in the event of forest fires and other disasters.

A milestone for Beagle Systems in 2024 was the assumption of inspection tasks for HanseGas, the operator of the gas network in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The use of drones completely replaces the previously standard helicopter inspections. The procedure enables a more precise inspection of the pipeline network and is expected to save HanseGas up to 16 tonnes of CO2 per year. Beagle Systems also offers a number of advantages over the usual satellite monitoring used in other areas. These include lower costs and an image resolution that is said to be 50 to 75 times higher.
