Autumn to feature all kinds of startup events soon

It's mid-September and autumn is coming soon. Although the days are getting shorter and colder, the season promises to be anything but mundane. And, the heat is on when it comes to the many great startup events in September and October in Hamburg. The following is an overview:

1,001 events in September

The week from September 12-18, 2022 is proving exciting with workshops, exhibitions and keynotes on 5G applications, e-mobility and climate protection in a circus tent at the InnovationsZirkus from September 14-15. Delegates will be spoilt for choice on September 15 given the many events. The Gründerszene Spätschicht is ideal for exchanging ideas and networking while the European Digital Twin Summit offers an opportunity to learn more about the use of Digital Twin technologies, the code.talks, the class reunion of the tech scene and the grand finale of the Female StartAperitivo pitch event series. And as if that was not enough, the MLE Days'22 also start at TUHH on September 15-16. Discover how the latest machine learning applications are being used nowadays. The week will be rounded off by COMPAR-EU Hackathon from September 16-17 which will bring young researchers, hackers and experts together.

After a short "breather", events will continue on Tuesday (September 20, 2022) with a virtual event on "Fostering International Innovation in the Public Domain - How Cities Engage with Global and Local Startup Communities" by the Northern German Innovation Office (NGIO) and the Senate Chancellery of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. This year’s Reeperbahn Festival underway from September 21-22 promises to be a haven of music and creativity while the NEXT - Conference from September 22 to 23 will highlight the impact of digital trends on people’s behaviour. Then on September 22, those interested can choose from the Honeymoon Startup Pitch #7, the 25th Anniversary Future Summit or the NCS Demo Day Batch #10.

All eyes will be on fintech during Fintech Week from September 26-30 as well as the techcamp in the Klubhaus St. Pauli from September 28-29, a Data Day by the minubo startup on September 28 and the GründerGeist award ceremony on September 29. Although the end of the month holds some respite, things will gear up similarly in October.

The month begins with the Mind the Progress Congress hosted by Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft on October 1. All those interested can attend the Logistics Summit from October 5-6 and learn more about digitalisation and innovation in the sector across Hamburg. Meanwhile, the Hamburg Chamber of Crafts' Ideenwerkstatt project will kick off on October 6 followed by the Zukunftsbaustelle menschzentrierte Digitalisierung - UUX und KI "to go" from October 13-14. The event overlaps briefly with the Startup Port Gründungscamp from October 14-16, which is essentially a summer school on business model development. From October 19-20, delegates can attend the SOCIAL MEDIA CONFERENCE and learn more about campaigns, best practice examples and gain tips from well-known brands and retailers. The Payment Summit from October 25-26 will show business people how to manage their daily payments in an ideal manner.

Exciting events outside of Hamburg

This autumn, several other German cities are also offering great startup events including DEMXCO in Cologne from September 21-22 and EXPO REAL in Munich from October 4-6.

And November promises to be eventful with mega-events like the Web Summit in Lisbon and SLUSH in Helsinki.
