The Northern German Innovation Office (NGIO) and the Senate Chancellery of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg invites you to take a look at sunny California at the virtual event "Fostering International Innovation in the Public Domain - How Cities Engage with Global and Local Startup Communities" and the question: Which programmes are successful in California?

Since April 2022, Hamburg has been further expanding the cooperation between administration and startups with the GovTecHH project in the Office for IT and Digitalisation. And is it also dedicated to the question of how the innovation potential in other countries is raised in order to accelerate the digital and cultural transformation of administration? This is the framework for the event.

In the programme, you can expect the following speakers:.

  • Almut Möller, State Councillor and Plenipotentiary of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg to the Federation, the European Union and for Foreign Affairs

  • Christian Pfromm, Chief Digital Officer of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg

  • Kip Harkness, Deputy City Manager of the City of San José, California

  • Flora Geske, Co-Founder SUMM-AI

  • as well as other guests from the fields of innovation, business and science.

Sounds exciting? Then register here. The event is in English.
