The Hamburg-based startup Boomerang has once again managed to convince a number of investors with its reusable shipping packaging. Around 1.9 million euros were raised in a seed financing round, partly through a crowdinvesting campaign. This brings the capital accumulated by the company to a good 3 million euros.
Boomerang secures more than 850,000 euros through crowdinvesting
The pre-seed round has taken place over several stages since 2022 and was concluded in August 2023 with a total amount of 1.1 million euros. Crowdinvesting plays an important role in the current seed financing. The financing target for the campaign on the Companisto platform was 750,000 euros, and over 850,000 euros were raised within three months. More than 400 private investors participated. The seed round is topped by the participation of two professional investors. . Boomerang intends to use the fresh capital to further expand the areas of sales, IT and product development. A further EUR 500,000 is to be raised via authorised capital by the end of the year.
Founded in 2022, the startup offers, among other things, a holistic reusable system for shipping packaging, which is available in the form of flexible shipping bags and robust boxes. Boomerang has also developed its own software solutions, such as a digital deposit system. This makes the company a full-service provider for its currently more than 60 customers and partners. These include two large German companies with an annual turnover of over 1 billion euros.
