The first Hamburg Innovation Summit took place in 2015 and today it is impossible to imagine Hamburg's startup event calendar without it. On 10 July, visitors can once again expect an extensive programme at the latest edition. This article will give you an overview to help you plan.

Wide range of topics in six locations
The Hamburg Innovation Summit will once again be held in the Oberhafenquartier. The programme is spread across six areas:
A - Headquarters
Here you will find the Startup Stage, which we will be discussing in more detail, and the Talent Hub, where companies and research institutions present themselves and open positions and projects. The large expo covers the areas of startups, entrepreneurship, science, research and HR & talent.
B - Social Innovation Corner
This is where all players involved in social initiatives and companies have their place. There is an expo and various presentations.
C - Collaboration Lab
The Kitchen Talks are all about food innovations, the Hamburg Clusters present themselves at an Expo and Luya Kidscorner is responsible for childcare.

D - Summit Stage
The official opening will take place on the Summit Stage at 10:00 a.m., followed by panels focussing on Hamburg as a location for innovation.
E - Local Hero Stage
If you like it short and crisp, this is the right place for you. Most programme items only last 15 minutes and offer a wealth of insights into Hamburg's economy.
F - AI Hub
The topic of artificial intelligence is of course also a must at the Hamburg Innovation Summit. An expo, panels and talks will bring you up to date.

What the Startup Stage and Startup City Hamburg have to offer
Talking points from the startup world can be found in all areas, but especially on the Startup Stage. The topics include social entrepreneurship and venture clienting, there are several pitch formats and information on funding and financing opportunities. Startup City Hamburg will be presenting a panel entitled ‘From Migration to Innovation: Startup Successes in Hamburg’ from 15:30. Founders from Hamburg with a migration background will report on how migration generates innovation and promising startups. The discussion will shed light on both the opportunities and challenges of Hamburg as a startup location. The panellists include Zamina Ahmad (shades&contrast), Noah Raissi (Rukki) and Jaqueline De Lora (SURFACtoBioTech). Elnura Ashimova (2hearts) will be the moderator.
At the Startup City Hamburg stand in the Headquarter Expo, you can get information and advice throughout the day. From 11:00 to 15:00 there will also be a meet & greet with La Tech Hambourg, a community for deepening Franco-German relations. Of course, the Hamburg Innovation Summit has even more to offer.
