These startups were funded by IFB in December 2024
In December 2024, IFB Innovationsstarter GmbH once more dug deep into its funding pots and added six startups to its programmes. TrustNXTX, SURFACtoBioTech, iniuva, Renaldo, Labtree and coobi were able to enjoy a pre-Christmas treat.
TrustNXT
When using digital photos and videos, there are several aspects to consider. Who owns the image rights? Are the images authentic, manipulated or even completely generated by artificial intelligence? And how do I find all this out? The startup TrustNXT, funded by the InnoRampUp programme, wants to provide answers. It has developed the origo app, which can be used to secure copyrights and check the origin and authenticity of images. The app was released in September 2024 and passed the 1,000-customer threshold in December.
SURFACtoBioTech
Surfactants are substances that make it possible to mix two liquids that are actually immiscible, such as oil and water. The InnoRampUp startup SURFACtoBioTech produces such surfactants and thus makes it possible to keep biotechnological experiments as small as possible. This not only leads to more efficient use of resources, but also improves the quality and statistical significance of experiments, as miniaturisation reduces environmental influences.
iniuva
The third InnoRampUp funding of the month goes to iniuva. The team is looking for ways to cure rare childhood diseases using artificial intelligence. This helps to detect small-molecular active ingredients and focuses on the misfolding of proteins, a key factor in hundreds of ailments. The process is intended to reduce the development time of drugs from years to months. iniuva is working in the same field of research as the 2024 Nobel Prize winners in chemistry.
Renaldo
22 days is all it takes to renovate a detached house so that it is up to date in terms of energy efficiency. At least that is the promise of the startup Renaldo, which has found a place in the InnoFounder programme. This is to be made possible by careful, digitally supported project planning, which should take a maximum of six months. Then everything happens very quickly: depending on requirements, the service package includes insulating the entire building including the roof, installing heat pumps and photovoltaic systems as well as replacing bathrooms, electrical installations, windows, doors and floors. The work is carried out by tradesmen who are networked with Renaldo.
Labtree
The startup Labtree, which is also receiving InnoFounder funding, aims its service at small and medium-sized cosmetics brands. These include startups that want to launch cosmetic products on the market without having their own laboratory. Labtree's range of services includes product development, production, filling, packaging design and market approval. Customers can configure their products online via a platform. The aim is a fully automated development process that enables faster innovation in the cosmetics industry.
coobi
Another InnoFounder startup is coobi. It has set itself the goal of making therapy and support for addiction disorders more accessible and efficient. The coobi care app uses an AI-based algorithm that utilizes data from smartphones and wearables to provide objective insights into the user's current condition and can identify an increased risk of consumption. This is primarily intended to help people in aftercare who are struggling with a substance-related dependency, particularly to alcohol, and show them ways out of addiction in the long term.
