Slush in Helsinki describes itself as the world's most founder focused event. Accordingly, many startups will once again visit the Finnish capital on November 19 and 20, including several from Hamburg. In this article, we briefly introduce them.
More sustainability with MycoLutions and Fermeta
As in previous years, there will again be a German joint stand at Slush in 2025, where four Hamburg startups will present themselves as part of the Startup-Champs Germany initiative. They were selected from numerous applications by the Startup-Unit of Hamburg Invest. MycoLutions is a young company that uses the root-like network of fungi known as mycelium for its products, namely sustainable building materials for improving room acoustics and thermal insulation. Sustainability is also a focus at Fermeta. This startup is developing a kind of energy drink for cows that is intended to help reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by 1%.
Apps from and with Heisenware and MonsterShack
A low-code platform enables software to be created even without special programming skills. The startup Heisenware pursues this principle, which uses ready-made modules and visual elements, with an app construction kit for production and medium-sized businesses. MonsterShack takes care of children's skin health. Its IchyMonsters app helps children to treat neurodermatitis regularly and conscientiously in a playful way. And the SunnyMonsters app turns sun protection for children into an exciting adventure.
Furthermore, the Hamburg-based startup SURFACtoBioTech will participate in the Slush 100 pitch competition. It has developed a technology that makes biological experiments faster and more cost-effective.
