Once again, the AI.STARTUP.HUB hosted graduation day last week, the final event of its funding programmes. A total of 24 teams had qualified for them, twelve of which were able to present themselves to the audience at the ASTOR cinema in HafenCity. The audience voted NoscAI the winner of the evening.
4 startups on the road to founding
The ‘Ideation’ funding programme is aimed at startups that are still in the founding phase and want to reach market maturity via the AI.STARTUP.HUB. Seven teams took part in its summer batch 2024 and four presented themselves at graduation day. DENKER was among them with a digital assistant that uses artificial intelligence (AI), as do all the other startups as well. At UPAIB, AI is used to make internal change for companies easier in a playful way. The VeRise app supports the transition to a primarily plant-based diet. And XIVR offers inclusion training in virtual reality.
8 startups on the road to success
The Accelerator programme is aimed at startups that have already taken their first steps and now want to reach the next level of success. No fewer than 17 teams qualified for the programme, eight of which made their grand entrance on the cinema stage. BotTalk transforms texts written for publishers into audio files in order to generate more reach. casuu.care uses AI to prepare non-native-speaking doctors and nurses for their work in Germany. At Chainstep, artificial intelligence is helping to make product development faster and cheaper, for example in the cosmetics industry. Charit makes it easier to analyse qualitative data from customer surveys.
With its low-code software, whose building blocks can be combined in a similar way to Lego, Heisenware relieves IT departments of a lot of work. Above all, the smart chatbot Kosmo from the startup Splitbot promises to save time. Procurement for professional kitchens is organised by the app from supply.one. The biggest impression made the pitch by Dr Sohrab Shojaei Khatouni from NoscAI. His vision of sharing medical knowledge across borders and thus avoiding misdiagnosis earned him and his team the first place in the public vote. The reward is 250,000 Google Credits, which can be used for cloud applications.
