IFB Innovationsstarter GmbH regularly supports Hamburg startups, once again in the months of May and June 2025. conductr.io, WAIV-FTIR, zemmi and mutly are four new young companies that have been included in the funding programmes.

conductr.io
If the energy transition is sometimes not progressing as quickly as desired, this may be due to complex approval procedures, among other things. The startup conductr.io, which is funded by the InnoFounder programme, supports companies in getting projects approved as smoothly and quickly as possible, in implementing them and connecting them to the grid. It connects with the appropriate partners and uses an app to provide an overview of the progress of the project, such as the construction of a solar or wind power plant, at all times.

WAIV-FTIR
Size often matters, and this also applies to WAIV-FITR. However, the term ‘compactness’ is more appropriate here, as the startup's FTIR spectrometers are particularly impressive due to their small size and simultaneously high bandwidth. The devices are primarily used in laboratories and are suitable for a range of analyses, for example in the medical field or of materials. WAIV-FITR was created at the renowned Hamburg research institute DESY and is now being funded by the InnoRampUp programme.

zemmi
From this, zemmi also benefits, a startup that thinks big when it comes to cargo bike trailers. That's why zemmi prefers to call its product a ‘semi-trailer truck of cycle paths’. The trailers have a load volume of up to 4.3 cubic metres, which corresponds to around 350 average parcels. This makes them an environmentally friendly and space-saving alternative to conventional vans for last-mile deliveries. And on top, a driving licence is not required for operation.

mutly
The InnoImpact-funded startups usually focus on the social aspect. This is also the case with mutly, which is committed to enabling older people to participate more in society. The platform gives senior citizens access to a wide range of events - from culture and education to age-appropriate sports programmes. A pick-up and drop-off service collects senior citizens directly from their front door and takes them safely to their event. This means that people with limited mobility can also take part.
