Health startup elea receives 4 million euros in financing round
The Hamburg-based startup elea has developed a platform to automate the workflows of healthcare providers and improve medical care. The company has raised 4 million euros in a seed round and intends to use it to expand its offering.

Artificial intelligence makes the difference at elea
Fly Ventures and Giant Ventures are involved in the financing round. elea is receiving an additional boost from a partnership with one of Germany's largest hospital associations, Medizinisches Versorgungszentrum (MVZ). The startup was founded in 2024 by software expert Dr. Christoph Schröder, physician Dr. Sebastian Casu, tech professional Tobias Lygren and business expert Stephan Frank. The team has developed a solution for the healthcare system that uses artificial intelligence to optimise workflows. Through automation, elea wants to help medical professionals to concentrate fully on their actual, life-saving work.
The startup has chosen pathology as its first field of activity. The service includes controlling the laboratory by voice command, from microscopes and printers to automatic staining machines. In addition, elea automatically extracts all relevant data from the user's dictation, structures it and organises the resulting measures. This should reduce the time required for case processing by up to 60%. After pathology, the procedure is to be transferred to other medical departments.
