Spacific is the state winner for Hamburg

LuxChemtech GmbH from Saxony won the overall prize of 10,000 euros. Like all other state winners, Spacific received 1,000 euros. The Hamburg-based startup, founded in 2020, makes the implementation of augmented reality solutions in the construction industry feasible. The "XR Scan" software allows the creation of building measurements, including the automated generation of a 3D model, to be seamlessly integrated into existing workflows. Expensive laser hardware with long post-processing times is replaced by fast and accurate measurement via smartphone. Data management in a central web portal enables a clean connection to relevant interfaces and forms the basis for the integration of 3D models into planning and sales processes.

Wildplastic wins the special prize

The Hamburg-based startup Wildplastic received 5,000 euros in connection with the special prize Social Entrepreneurship. Wildplastic was founded in 2019 as an entrepreneurial response to the plastic littering of the planet. The seven founding members are convinced that plastic is not waste, but a valuable material. Together with collection organisations, the purpose company removes plastics from the environment and turns them into new products - such as the WILDBAG garbage bag or shipping bags used by the OTTO Group. Learn more about WILDPLASTIC in this detailed report.

The winning startups were selected in a multi-stage process by an experienced jury with representatives from KfW, funding institutions, business, politics and the media. The jury evaluated the business ideas according to their degree of innovation, their creativity and their assumption of social and ecological responsibility. The competition was open to companies in all sectors starting with 2017 as the year in which they were founded. And the competition is not over yet: Voting for the audience award worth 9.000 euros will continue until November 15. All state winners are eligible to vote for, including Spacific.
