airfocus is already internationally successful

airfocus was founded in 2017 by Malte Scholz, Christian Hoffmeister and Valentin Firak. The startup supports product management with its flexible, modular solutions for roadmapping, prioritisation and results-oriented planning. airfocus is already used by leading companies such as Ricoh, GoodYear and Wago and aims to enable teams to make better decisions and act quickly. The acquisition by Lucid Software represents the next chapter in airfocus' growth, which is supported by investors such as XAnge, Nauta Capital and others. Previously, a total of 15 million US dollars in venture capital flowed into the startup, most recently 7.5 million US dollars in January 2024.

Lucid Software's product is called the Visual Collaboration Suite and consists of Lucidspark (idea generation), Lucidchart (diagramming) and, most recently, airfocus. It supports teams in the planning and realisation of complex projects. Lucid works with Google, Atlassian and Microsoft, among others, and is one of the most frequently used platforms in the Fortune 500.

“airfocus was created to solve the challenges I faced firsthand as a product manager—scattered roadmaps, misaligned communication, and a lack of transparency. Since then, airfocus has become the most flexible, AI-powered product management platform, giving teams a structured system of record to align strategy, roadmaps, and execution. By joining Lucid, we can accelerate that vision, providing product leaders with an even more powerful and connected solution that bridges ideation, planning, and execution. Together, we’re empowering teams to build the right products, faster and with greater clarity.”
