The Hamburg-based startup airfocus, a provider of product management software, has closed a financing round of 7.5 million US dollars. The round is led by the Dutch VC firm Newion, with the investment firms XAnge, Nauta, Riverside Acceleration Capital and Picea Capital also participating. This investment brings airfocus' total funding to almost 15 million US dollars.

The modular product management tool from airfocus offers flexible solutions for key business challenges such as roadmapping, prioritisation, customer insights and the management of business goals. More than 800 customers worldwide, including Caterpillar, The Washington Post and Orange, already rely on airfocus. The startup was founded in 2017 by Christian Hoffmeister, Malte Scholz and Valentin Firak.
The trio was driven by the vision of a standardised production system. Nowadays, software forms the backbone of all processes and services in almost every company. In order to remain successful, companies must undergo a digital transformation that makes software integration a decisive factor for efficiency and competitiveness. airfocus pursues the approach of bundling all essential functions in one solution and thus ensuring greater transparency and effectiveness in product management. The startup intends to use the fresh capital to further expand its presence in a market worth billions.
