Slush, which takes place on November 20 and 21 in Helsinki, is one of the most important international networking events and tech conferences. This year, Hamburg Invest's Startup-Unit is offering a total of four startups the opportunity to present themselves there. In this article, you can find out how to apply for a place and what criteria your startup must fulfil.
Application requirements and services at Slush
Slush is primarily aimed at international tech startups and scaleups. In addition to the focus on networking startups with investors, media and political decision-makers, Slush also offers several stages where inspiring contributions and discussions take place. For years, Hamburg Invest's Startup-Unit has been accompanying startups on their journey to Helsinki. In 2024, this will be the regional winner of the Startup-Champs Germany competition and three other young companies that meet the following criteria:
Company headquarters in Hamburg (commercial register entry serves as proof).
Age of the startup maximum 10 years.
Meaningful proof of a strong product-market fit of the own product.
Presentation of a well-founded entrepreneurial interest in participating in SLUSH 2024.
The application must be submitted by May 12. A jury will evaluate all candidates based on maturity, scalability and international marketability. The selected startups will be notified by e-mail by May 17 at the latest. They will then be offered the following at Slush:
A conference ticket for one person from each selected startup.
A cooperation contribution of 500 euros.
Participation in the German "Startup-Champs Germany" joint stand.
Integration into the Startup-Unit Hamburg's own events and networks
The booking and organisation of the trip is done by the participants themselves. The Startup-Unit provides support with matchmaking in advance and on site.
