According to its own advertising, Slush in Helsinki is "the world's leading startup event." This is debatable, but the trip to the far north is undoubtedly worth it when around 12,000 people will come together on November 17 and 18, 2022 - including over 4,000 founders and executives of startups, around 2,200 investors and around 400 media representatives. Slush is therefore an ideal networking event, especially for tech startups and scaleups. This year, Hamburg Invest's Startup Unit is enabling four Hamburg startups to participate.
One of them has already been confirmed. Boomerang won the title of "Startup Champs 2022" in a pitch in June and can also present its reusable solution for shipping packaging in Helsinki. Three more places are still up for grabs, and this is what awaits the selected startups:
Conference ticket for 1 person per startup
Booth participation at the German "Startup-Champs Germany" joint booth
Integration in own events and networks of the Startup-Unit Hamburg
Company headquarters in Hamburg or the Hamburg metropolitan region, respectively
Age of the startup max. 10 years
Significant proof of a strong product-market fit of the own product
Presentation of a justified entrepreneurial interest for the participation in Slush 2022
Participating startups are responsible for booking and organizing the trip themselves. The Startup-Unit of Hamburg Invest will assist with matchmaking in the run-up and on-site.
Please send your application to startup-unit@hamburg-invest.com by August 9. In a text with a maximum length of 600 characters, you explain what predestines your startup for an appearance at Slush. A jury of experts will scrutinize all applications received by the deadline and select the three most suitable startups, considering their degree of maturity, scalability and international marketability.
