CrystalsFirst is another biotech startup moving into the new tecHHub in Science City Hamburg. The company, headquartered in Marburg, is investing a seven-figure sum in the expansion of its laboratory infrastructure.

CrystalsFirst plays a leading role in drug research
CrystalsFirst had already been present in Hamburg at the DESY basic research center since 2022. The startup is now significantly expanding its activities at its new location. Commissioning is planned for the second quarter of 2025. CrystalsFirst is a leading provider of structural biology solutions and AI-supported drug discovery. The strategic investment in the millions is intended to contribute to the scaling of its MAGNET platform.
This serves to accelerate the discovery of drugs by unlocking new chemical substances. The structural biology technology developed and protected by the startup recognises molecular magnets, and artificial intelligence identifies novel molecules and crystal structures. CrystalsFirst already has more than 40 successful collaborations with leading biotech companies.
