ChefTreff calls for the Startup Pitch Battle
In recent years, ChefTreff has become one of the leading events for students and young professionals. A highlight of the program is the Startup Pitch Battle, which ChefTreff organizes together with the platform Startup Insider. Find out how you can apply and what to expect at the competition in this article.
At its premiere in 2017, ChefTreff, organized by students for students, had around 100 guests. This year, up to 2,500 visitors are expected at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce on April 13 and 14. The idea behind the event is to show young people the wide range of opportunities in the world of work and, above all, to make setting up their own company attractive. Therefore, the ChefTreff is always also a showcase for startups. This is especially true for the Startup Pitch Battle, for which you can still apply until March 31.
This is how the Startup Pitch Battle works
One of the few basic requirements for applying is age; the founding date must not be before 2019. The ten most promising will be selected from all entries, and the decision will be announced by April 2. On April 14, an exclusive networking breakfast will first be held with the investors who will form the jury. At the final pitch in the early evening, four startups will compete to convince the following jury members:
Tarek Müller (Co-Founder About You)
Tina Dreimann (Founder & MD Better Ventures)
Bettine Schmitz (Partner & Co-FounderAuxxo Female Catalyst Fund)
Josef Brunner (Entrepreneur & Investor)
Prizes include a promotion package worth 25,000 euros including a presentation on the Startup Insider podcast and mentoring with the jury members. More information and the link to the application form can be found here.
