3 Hamburg startups that help with recruitment
The shortage of skilled workers and the search for talent are presenting companies with growing challenges, while at the same time the application processes are changing for job seekers. Numerous startups offer solutions for the modern job market. In this article, we present three of them: Bricks, Performance Recruiting and WTE Group.

Bricks
The Tinder principle of showing your preferences by swiping on your cell phone has already been adopted by a number of startups. Bricks is now transferring it to the job search. Users can select suitable job offers and contact the potential employer directly via an app and a chat function. The service is primarily intended for short-term or part-time jobs and initially focuses on the retail, hospitality and healthcare sectors and the Hamburg location. The startup has only been active for a few weeks and is still looking for participants for the app's test phase.

Performance Recruiting
Performance Recruiting GmbH, founded in 2020, has already gone much further. It takes the approach that the most suitable candidates are often not reached via job portals, but via social media. There, the startup also addresses people who are not currently actively looking for a new job. To do this, it develops target group-specific advertising campaigns that initially focus more on a company's image than the exact job description. The posts created by Performance Recruiting then lead to a dedicated landing page with more specific information. The process should lead to lower costs and a higher hit rate in recruiting.

WTE Group
The shortage of skilled workers means that companies are no longer limiting their search for personnel to Germany, but are looking for talent worldwide. This approach is reflected in the name of the WTE Group, the abbreviation stands for “Welcome to Europe”. In Latin America in particular, the startup is looking for experts in the fields of IT and engineering. Another focus is on the healthcare sector, where the staff shortage is particularly severe. WTE therefore operates a training center in India for nursing staff, who receive both specialist training and language lessons there, which significantly shortens the induction period in Germany.
