The decisions have been made in the STARTERiN Hamburg 2024 competition for female founders organized by Hamburg Startups. On March 14 at the Digital Hub Logistics, Dr. Antje Kallweit and Annika Bruhns-Petersson from help, Prof. Dr. Pia Wülfing from PINK! gegen Brustkrebs and Sora Mustafa, founder of vollefarben, won the title in their respective categories. As in the previous year, the patron of the event was Hamburg's Second Mayor Katharina Fegebank.

help wins in the Tech category

A total of six startups and their female founders qualified for the final, two in each of three categories. Frederika Hornef competed in the "Tech" area. Her platform Skillbased breaks new ground in job placement and focuses on applicants' skills rather than their CVs. However, the jury of startup experts chose Dr. Antje Kallweit and Annika Bruhns-Petersson. With their app help, people who suffer from chronic pain can virtually train it away. The procedure has already proven itself in practice, and the founders are now hoping for approval as a DiGA for a digital health application paid for by health insurance companies.

PINK! gegen Brustkrebs wins in the Impact category

Health issues also dominated the "Impact" category. Chris Gust is hypersensitive and knows from her own experience how psychological stress can lead to loneliness. With jumiwi, she is building a community via an app in which those affected can support each other. PINK! gegen Brustkrebs is another app that helps breast cancer patients fight the disease and improve their chances of recovery by adopting the right behavior. The founder, Prof. Dr. Pia Wülfing, is a doctor with great expertise and has already received DiGA approval. The company's proven success was the deciding factor in its appointment as STARTERiN Hamburg 2024.

vollefarben wins in the Commerce category

With her startup hinterland Johanna Zoern offers a marketplace for agricultural businesses from Spain that still work according to traditional, natural methods. The focus of the offer is olive oil and the sponsorship of olive trees. The vollefarben online shop has a particularly wide range of products in the fashion and children's categories, but the overall supply is very broad. However, all products are characterized by one thing: They come from companies founded by people with a migration background. Diversity as a trademark convinced the jury to award founder Sora Mustafa the STARTERiN Hamburg 2024 prize in the "Commerce" category.
