TimeTeller wins at the German Startup Awards
The German Startup Awards were presented for the fifth time in Berlin on 16 May. The competition is organised by the German Startups Association. A total of nine prizes were awarded, with Angela Relógio from the Hamburg-based startup TimeTeller receiving the award for Newcomer of the Year.
This is not the medical doctor's first success as a startup founder: in 2023, she already won the overall Female StartAperitivo award and the Health Innovation Award, among others. TimeTeller is developing a method for determining the optimal timing of a therapy, especially in cancer treatment. This is done using a simple saliva test and takes into account the patient's internal biological clock. The experience gained from years of research has been channelled into the development of the procedure, but the market launch as an approved medical product is not expected before 2027, according to the current status.
