This is how Female StartAperitivo 2024 proceeds
The Female StartAperitivo startup competition is already entering its fourth round this year. Semi-finals will take place in ten German cities, with Hamburg’s turn to be on May 15. In this article you can find out more about the event series, which aims to give female founders more visibility and better access to investors.
The road to the final on June 6
Female StartAperitivo celebrated its premiere in November 2021, back then with a focus on the Hamburg startup scene. Like in the previous year, in 2024, in the female startup competition organised by the Hamburg Investors Network ten federal states will take part. They will each select a candidate in local semi-finals, who will then compete in the grand final on June 6 in Hamburg. In addition to Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Berlin, North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse, Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria and Saxony are also joining in.
All startups in which at least one woman is part of the founding team or management are eligible to participate. For the Hamburg event, the company must also be based in the Hanseatic city. A total of ten women-led startups can compete in the semi-finals on May 15 at Proberaum Oberhafen, with some places being allocated by wildcards. Hands on! qualified by winning the pitch of the Körber Start Hub's Next:Generation Incubator. And the winners of the STARTERiN Hamburg 2024 competition on March 14 also have a chance of a semi-final place. The official application phase runs until April 14.
