These startups were funded by IFB in April 2025
In April 2025, IFB Innovationsstarter GmbH was once again particularly active - seven startups received support through its funding programmes. In this article, we briefly introduce Ailentis, TrainAR, iduneo, ReductStore, FinActe, THE NOC and Gistable.

Ailentis
Workshops and seminars are intended to make employees in companies fitter for their jobs, but what they learn there is forgotten too quickly. This is often due to the fact that the learning content is too abstract and has little relevance to everyday working life. Ailentis, one of four startups funded by the InnoFounder programme in April, is building the bridge from theory to practice with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). Personal AI avatars help participants to apply newly acquired skills in real-life scenarios and thus promote continuous learning beyond the actual training period.

TrainAR
The startup TrainAR is also dedicated to the topic of training and - as the company name suggests - relies on augmented reality. This technology makes it possible to create practical, interactive and immersive training experiences that are not tied to a specific location and are available at any time. The target group consists of educational institutions, companies and, above all, the defence sector. The training programme includes the commissioning, maintenance and servicing of machinery and equipment as well as the handling of hazardous substances and the planning of disaster relief operations and military missions.

iduneo
Cancer in its many forms is the second most common cause of death in Germany, but new therapeutic approaches give hope for increasing chances of a cure. However, clinical trials are required before approval, and recruiting suitable patients is one of the biggest challenges. The startup iduneo is taking on this challenge and offering a solution by approaching patients directly and integrating seamlessly into hospital networks. Here, too, AI is used, which also helps with the further organisation of the studies.

ReductStore
There is no shortage of data in the digital age, on the contrary. Whether sensor readings, images, videos, protocols or system data, all of this is available in large quantities. The startup ReductStore has developed a next-generation data infrastructure that is primarily tailored to the needs of robotics and the industrial Internet of Things (iIoT). The aim is to make the collection, storage and management of huge amounts of data faster, simpler and more cost-effective.

FinActe
FinActe has been accepted into the InnoFinTech programme. The startup is active in three areas: financing brokerage, consulting and software development. It develops tailor-made software solutions for the financial sector and offers advice on renewable energies and strategic digitalisation. It also identifies and evaluates potential savings and funding opportunities when modernising properties. With Maria Patschke and Annika Döhrn, the management of the company, which was founded in 2023, is firmly in female hands.

THE NOC
By its own definition, THE NOC is “the first digital networking and career platform in the German-speaking world that enables BPoC professionals to showcase their skills, abilities and expertise. In a safe space, talented individuals can develop their full potential, advance their careers in a targeted manner and make fast, direct and uncomplicated contact at eye level with companies that value diversity and inclusion and are looking for specialists. The founders of this InnoImpact-funded startup, Mariam Guédé and Lioba Jarju, have already attracted attention with the Black Female Business network.

Gistable
Another new addition to the InnoImpact programme is Gistable, an AI-driven platform. This processes and condenses complex academic content into audio and text files that facilitate personal learning and understanding. The service is currently available in eleven languages and draws on a large amount of data that would otherwise not be so easily available. Gistable also pursues the idea of a shared knowledge ecosystem in which the members of the community publish their own publications and share their knowledge.
