The third edition of the AiDiA Pitch will take place in Hamburg on 7 September. Eight teams in two categories have qualified for the competition for Afro-German entrepreneurs. In this article we briefly introduce them.
The three finalists from the idea pitch
In total, AiDiA offers cash prizes totalling 53,000 euros as well as support services such as coaching, mentoring and workshops. The competition consists of two parts. The idea pitch is open to teams that have a promising idea but have not yet founded a company. In 2024, this includes the Funding Crew, which is developing an evaluation tool based on artificial intelligence. The Blue Housing International project, which aims to revolutionise the construction industry with a hybrid construction system. And Stay and Pay, which is developing an app to simplify ordering and payment in restaurants.
Five startups compete in the founder pitch
The finalists in the founder pitch are already a few steps further along in their development. Konzoom is a food delivery service. Adon Health offers help with testosterone replacement therapy for men over 45. ZULA brings diversity and inclusivity to children's literature. Serverless Salad helps companies choose cloud offerings and AI tools. And ADDOBEA conjures up one of the most popular African dishes on our tables with a sauce for Jollof rice.
So there's plenty of variety at the AiDiA Pitch. If you want to see which team wins the main prize of 30,000 euros, you can get your ticket here.
