Northern Germany is one of the most important locations for medicine technology, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. Life Science Nord (LSN) is the network for these industries in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. With around 500 companies, universities and research institutions and around 280 active members, it has established itself as a committed lobby group. Now LSN is expanding its range of services especially for startups.
LSN has a booster duo for startups
LSN has been offering services for founders in the life sciences sector since it was founded almost 20 years ago. Consulting and networking are an integral part of the support portfolio. In recent years, more and more startups have emerged as drivers of innovation in the sector. In order to be able to represent their interests even better, Life Science Nord has a "booster duo" in its team in Julius Welsch (focus on biotechnology) and Lennart Cordes (focus on medicine technology).
Reaching goals faster with the right contacts
The funding opportunities for young companies in Hamburg are already wide-ranging and basically well-positioned. To make further progress, they need above all the right contacts, which ideally lead to cooperation and financing. Therefore, one of the tasks of the new initiative will be to network startups with medium-sized and large companies in the metropolitan region as well as investors and business angels.
