International scaleups wanted for Hamburg
Scaleups from all over the world can apply to participate in the Scaleup Landing Pad Hamburg program until the end of March 2024. This initiative of the business development agency Hamburg Invest supports innovative growth companies from the fields of greentech, mobility, logistics, energy and construction in setting up in the Hamburg metropolitan region. The support services include tailor-made services relating to the establishment.
The program brings scaleups and corporates together
At the heart of the program is the idea of bringing scaleups together with established companies from the metropolitan region. Interested companies from Hamburg can submit their specific innovation projects before the application process in order to find suitable partnerships. "One of the outstanding aspects was the seamless connection with scaleups, which was perfectly tailored to our requirements and topics. This made our discussions uncomplicated and very targeted," reports Maike Steding, Senior Manager Corporate Venture Building at Jungheinrich. The internationally oriented company from Hamburg successfully submitted its innovation project last year and took part in the exchange with the scaleups.
To be selected by the expert jury of the Scaleup Landingpad Hamburg, the growth companies must demonstrate business success in their home market, be in a strong growth phase and intend to establish themselves locally in the Hamburg ecosystem. The admission phase and onboarding will begin in May 2024 and interested scaleups can apply until March 31. This is the third call for applications since the initiative was launched in 2022.
