Since 2007, the Hamburg Logistics Initiative has been honouring particularly forward-looking sustainable projects in the field of logistics that have already been implemented or are currently being realised with the HANSE GLOBE award. The application phase for the 2026 competition runs until February 28.

HANSE GLOBE is an international award

In recent years, established companies such as Lidl, Hermes and UPS have won the HANSE GLOBE. However, anyone who promotes innovative logistics projects can participate, including startups, institutions and public bodies. Examples of award-worthy ideas include intelligent transport concepts, incentive systems for resource conservation, concepts for managing logistics warehouses using renewable energies, and entrepreneurial commitment in the spirit of social responsibility. Participation is not limited to local competitors and is also open to international applications.

The deadline for applications is February 28. The submitted projects will be evaluated by a high-calibre jury comprising representatives from logistics, industry, trade, environmental protection, the media and science, independently of the Hamburg Logistics Initiative, according to defined criteria. The HANSE GLOBE 2026 awards ceremony will then take place during the 15th Logistics Dinner of the Hamburg Senate on April 21. The patron of the competition is Senator for Economic Affairs Dr Melanie Leonhard.
