IDEE-Förderpreis seeks Germany's most innovative female founders
For the 16th time, Hamburg-based entrepreneur Albert Darboven is awarding the IDEE-Förderpreis. This is the only national award for innovative startups founded by women. The prize is endowed with a total of 65,000 euros. The application phase has just started.
The winner of the 15th edition was traceless materials
The IDEE-Förderpreis focuses on sustainable and innovative ideas from female founders and entrepreneurs. The best examples of this are the winners of the last award ceremony, which took place in November 2021. Dr. Anne Lamp and Johanna Baare from traceless materials came first with their compostable plastic alternative. From Hamburg, TUTAKA had also reached the final with a marketplace for sustainable products for the hotel and catering industry.
All female founders and entrepreneurs who have been self-employed for less than five years are eligible to apply. The decisive criterion for this is the entry in the commercial register. Mixed teams are also welcome, but the startup idea must come from a woman. In the end, three female entrepreneurs will be awarded prizes. The main prize is worth 50,000 euros. Second place will receive 10,000 euros and third place 5,000 euros in prize money.
The main criteria for the award are the degree of innovation, the sustainability aspect, the success already achieved and the potential. Applications are open here until July 31, 2023. Five applicants will reach the final, with one place being awarded by public vote.
