How startups and Hamburg media companies come together
For startups, contact with established companies is often a decisive factor for commercial success. nextMedia.Hamburg, the location initiative for Hamburg's content industry, makes this possible with its Matchdays. The next one will take place on 10 July and applications are still being accepted.
Startups and corporates benefit from the Matchday
At the Matchdays, nextMedia.Hamburg brings startups from its network together with Hamburg-based media and digital companies. Both sides can examine potential collaborations without entering into any obligations. Ideally, the startup benefits from the expertise and connections of the established partner, gains access to new markets and receives support with advertising and marketing measures. The companies in turn gain early access to innovations and trends, are inspired by the startup culture and are given the opportunity to invest in a promising startup.
Based on the needs of its partner companies, nextMedia.Hamburg selects up to ten startups. These come from the funding programmes of the location initiative, such as Media Lift and MusicWorX, or from the applications received. The curated matches then take place in SPACE, nextMedia.Hamburg's innovation space in the Speicherstadt historical warehouse district. After a short pitch by the startups, the participants get to know each other better in a structured speed dating process. A challenge to be mastered together in a playful way is intended to provide initial conclusions as to whether further collaboration would be a good idea.
