E-bikes are becoming increasingly popular, and the number of providers is correspondingly large. The startup SMAFO provides a bundle of services along with the electrically powered bike via an app, which sets it apart from the competition. Recently, SMAFO has been operating a pop-up store in Hamburg and will celebrate its official opening party on February 16 from 6 p.m. onwards.
SMAFO is closely linked to Hamburg
Closely linked to the city of Hamburg is the company's origin story. The two founders, Sven-Ulrik Schneider and André Thiele, attended the Hamburg Media School for further training, where the joint idea for SMAFO was quickly born. The opening of the pop-up store at Bucerius Kunst Form (Alter Wall 12) now represents an important milestone in the company's history. At the opening ceremony, Transport Senator Anjes Tjarks will give a welcoming speech.
Anyone who is interested can a book free and flexible test drive via the website and also find out about the features of the SMAFO Connect app. These include GPS tracking, a digital lock, anti-theft protection, a replacement service and much more, which is intended to make mobility with the e-bike safer and more convenient.
